Project consists of 2 outboard runways, 4 inboard runways, 16 gravel field markers, a fire station building with apparatus bay and fire protection equipment, a prefabricated observation tower, an asphalt access road with parking, storm drainage improvements, water and sewer utilities, and airfield lighting. Panhandle Grading and Paving, Inc., was the prime general contractor for the project and was completed under 7 months.

Panhandle Grading and Paving, Inc., was the primary site work contractor for phase 1 of the VT MAE Aerospace Hangar. Project consisted of 40,00 SY of asphalt removal, 167,000 CY of excavation & embankment, sidewalk, curb & gutter, 36” stabilized subgrade, civilian parking, asphalt taxiway and apron governed by FAA Specifications.
